Following the ‘Be Mean, Be Clean, Be Green’ approach the Statement recommended the provision of ground source heating & cooling pumps & solar hot water for the industrial units, ground source heating & cooling pumps for the retail units & solar hot water for the residential units. It was estimated that a 14% reduction in CO2 emissions might be possible when measured against the baseline emissions.
